Bär Cargolift
In 1981 Gerd Bär started Bär Ladebordwand in Heilbronn, Germany. In 1983 this company developed the first double-folded, fold-under tail lift. Following a large fire and relocation to a new site the turnover rose by more than 50%.
Hydraulics
Hydraulics is a drive technology that uses fluid under pressure. This fluid is usually oil.
Electric drive
An electric drive converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. This makes it possible to put parts of machines in motion. The big advantage of electric motors is that they can be connected to mains power. In addition, electrically powered machines can be fitted with a battery. Tail lifts make use of an electric motor to power the hydraulic pump.
